
Cultural trip
The cultural visit is held to promote and present Indonesian culture-based entertainment. We are focusing on Yogyakarta city and its famous landmarks, followed by closing night entertained with local performances. The visit is integrated with conference event for international delegates, whereas it is optional for local delegates.






TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
• Visit to Yogyakarta city's landmarks: Merapi (Lava Tour), Sultan’s Palace, Taman Sari, Parangtritis
• Joining Candran Villagers activity: preparing the land before planting rice, making emping cracker, and tempeh
• Lava tour using Old American Jeep
• Visit to batik and silver factory in Kotagede
ITINERARY
Day 1: February 18th 2015
Meet and greet at the Tugu Railway station in the morning with the local tour guide. Breakfast at the local restaurant for breakfast. Go to Candran Village in Imogiri district located south of Jogjakarta to join Farming Education Program. Group will be welcomed by “Gejog Lesung” performed by women of the village. Join with local people in the rice field for preparing the land before paddy planting. Making tempe and emping crakers. Lunch will be served in Javanese style “Genduri”. Continue to batik factory to learn how to making batik. Sunset- watching at Parangtritis Beach. Back to the city to check in at Hom Hotel Gowongan.
Day 2: February 19th 2015
Breakfast, leave the hotel to Kinaherjo Village for lava tour by using
Old American Jeep. Go to Borobudur area and luch at local restaurant and visit to Borobudur Temple. Return to the city, have a dinner at local restaurant, return to the Hotel.
Day 3: February 20th 2015
After breakfast and hotel checkout, head to the Sultan’s Palace, Tamansari, batik
factory, and silver factory in Kotagede. Also visit other souvenir shops. Lunch will served at local restarant and closing ceremony. Transfer to Tugu Railway Station for Local Delegates, while International Delegates are free to board their planes from Adisucipto International Airport, Jogjakarta or continue on exploring Indonesia on their own resources.
